Dental implants have revolutionised dentistry by allowing a single tooth or a whole arch of teeth to be replaced. The jawbone is surgically implanted with titanium implants. Types of Dental Implants in India
The root implant is the most common type of dental implants in India in implant dentistry. Plate form implant: The Plate form implant is another type of implant dentistry. When the jawbone isn’t wide enough to support a root implant, this dental implant is the best option. Unlike the root implant, the plate form dental implants are long and thin, and it anchors into thin jawbones. The insertion procedure is similar to that of a root implant, however in some situations, plate dental implants are fitted with the restoration right away instead of waiting for Osseo integration.
Subperiosteal implant: When the jawbone has receded to the point that it can no longer support a permanent implant, this dental implants procedure is used. These implants are placed on top of the bone and embedded in the gums rather than in the jawbone like other dental implants. Preservation needed
Patients should always practise good oral hygiene, but this is especially important once dental implants in India have been placed. Bacteria can attack sensitive parts of the teeth and gums if they are not adequately cleaned, causing the gums to enlarge and the jawbone to gradually recede.
